The Spinal Engine: Exploring, understanding and loading rotation

Rotation is a fundamental quality in human movement—not merely an accessory to strength training. Yet many training and rehabilitation programmes focus heavily on resisting rotation, while rarely developing the ability to create, control and transfer rotational force.

During this one-day certification course, Duncan Boogaard takes you from the theoretical model of spinal rotation to its practical application on the training floor. You will explore how the spine, pelvis and trunk work together during rotational movement—and learn how to assess, load and programme rotation effectively.

This course bridges biomechanics, movement exploration and strength training. You will leave with a clear framework and practical methods that can immediately be applied in performance training and rehabilitation.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for strength and conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, rehabilitation professionals, personal trainers and movement specialists who want to better understand and train rotational movement.
