
Title: Mastering Multidirectional Speed: Testing, Training, and Rehabilitation with Motorized Resistance Technology
Ola is an associate professor at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences in exercise science (biomechanics and motor control). He also works as a consultant with the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic committee with projects and involvement ranging from technique and skill development to strength and conditioning and rehabilitation as he is also a physical therapist. As a co-founder and head of science at 1080 Motion he has played an important part in the development and application of motorized resistance technology in testing, training, and rehabilitation. Current projects that involve motorized resistance technology include change of direction assessment and training applications, sprint performance as well as a wholistic approach to return to play and muscle and tendon injuries. To complement motorized resistance technology into a greater framework he is one of the co-founders of Athletic 1080 and one of the creators of 1080 Movement Assessment Profile (1080 MAP). As a result, he has supported national and international level athletes and consulted with organizations ranging from PGA, LPGA, NHL, NFL, ATP, WTA, NBA to EPL.
