Title: Testing and filming the Biomechanis of acceleration and deceleration in practice

This session provides a practical framework for analysing and improving acceleration and deceleration mechanics in sport using SMAS (Sprint Mechanics Assessment Score) and CMAS (Change of Direction Mechanics Assessment Score). You’ll learn how to film and evaluate key technical variables in real-world environments, how to interpret what you see on video, and how to identify the biomechanical factors that limit performance or increase injury risk.

The workshop focuses on translating assessment into action: how to use sprint and COD analysis to guide coaching cues, exercise selection, and targeted progressions for faster, safer, and more efficient movement.
