
Title: Intermittent Hypoxic-Hyperoxic Training (IHHT) for Sport Performance: From Evidence-Based Theory to Protocols
Elia Villa is a physiotherapist and performance coach based in Andorra, where he leads clinical and performance services at FisioLab Andorra and is developing ARA Performance & Recovery, a multidisciplinary high-performance and rehabilitation
facility. He works with high-level athletes and performance-driven environments, integrating assessment, strength & conditioning, recovery strategies, and return-to-sport decision-making. He has collaborated with multiple sports organizations, including the Andorran Rugby National Team, the Andorran Ski Federation (Olympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026), and Inter Escaldes FC. Elia is currently completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Intermittent Hypoxia in collaboration with Universidad Europea de Madrid, and focuses on translating current evidence into practical IHHT protocols for endurance and intermittent team-sport performance.
